I will not be doing DW this year, but I am going to keep a very close eye on them!
Started the manual brake conversion today. I pulled the booster out (had to remove the valve cover to get it out!) And bolted the adapter plate in. That's as far as I was able to get today. Looks like I will need to make all new lines from the mc because I do not think these will come close to reaching.
I decided to go ahead and replace the master cylinder since I was going to have to make new lines. The common swap is to put a manual brake master from a Ranger on it. This flips the lines to fender side keeping them well away from the headers. At $12.99 + core from OReilly I though it a wise investment.
Thanks! I almost wasted some coin. O'Reilly wanted like $90 for the Cobra MC . . . and had to order it (which is the only reason I paused). I'm ready to "swing iron" once I get the brakes done)
It's already going to have to have a boat-load of adapters to hook up the Hurst Line-Loc (included a free kit with a bunch of tubing and adaptors) Nothing has been easy or cheap so far, so I'm not expecting good things here either.
