Setting the motor up to stab the distributor and a look at the new wiring stuff.

Still plonking along. I decided to use the last spot on the relay module for ignition power. So I added the wiring for that and finished the wiring for the electric water pump and electric fan. Not videoing that stuff because it's even more boring than usual. Haha.

This part is really turning out nicer than I expected.

The list is getting short to make this thing run and drive again!

Built exhaust for it yesterday. It went waaay better than it ever has in the past.
Hands down the best fitting system I have put on this car. Thinking about adding an H, but I like the idea of them being separate and easier to remove.

Been grinding through the wiring the last couple of days. Not my favorite job.

As of today, the engine bay is 99% done. I just need to wire up some switches inside the car, connect the transmission cooler lines and bolt the flexplate to the converter and it'll be darn close to being done.

Pro tip - It'll rev faster if you leave those torque converter bolts out. Or so they tell me - I mean, how would I know?

The new alternator bracket finally showed up. It's a nice piece, but not quite as "finished" as the one I put on Greenbean. I goofed when installing it and trimmed the spacers a little. Had to add a washer or two to get it back to where it needed to be.

In spite of the fact that I had a ripping sinus headache, I had a good day in the shop.

I rummaged around and found a belt that would fit, so I finished the alternator install.

I crawled under and rerouted the O2 sensor wiring where it wouldn't be near the headers.

I rerouted the transmission cooler lines where they wouldn't be near the headers.

I drained the trans fluid while I was there.

Then I finally dove in and finished the wiring inside the car. It turned out good and everything works like it should.

The only things left are the converter bolts and filling it with fluids. Then it'll be time to fire it up!!

This version has really knocked out a bunch of things that have been bugging me for years. Feels like the best version of this car yet.
