Heads on, rockers and pushrods cleaned and set in place. I found one broken pedestal. Luckily I have a spare. Surprisingly, I have learned it is not uncommon for them to break.
First time to assemble an engine on a Black and Decker Workmate. Haha, works good!

I got this one sometime around 1998. I have used it for everything! Holding transmissions, welding stuff, porting heads, painting stuff, grinding, sawing.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

There are quite a few engine stands or carts in our shop but all are occupied!Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

I'm jealous of the WorkMate! I occasionally bug my father if he's still using his 80's vintage one and his response is basically "it's in your inheritance" because he uses it quite often still. Saw it sitting on top of the geologic filing system in his garage over this last weekend while I was home for the first time since 2019.Central TEXAS Sleeper
