In the interest of full disclosure, I fired it up last night and it didn't have any oil pressure. I had prelubed it with the drill and everything seemed fine but had no pressure when I lit it off. I suspected it was the oil filter relocation kit so this morning I grabbed a Napa 1335 shorty filter. I usually use the Wix version but it was not available locally. After work I removed the kit, put the filter on, pulled the distributor, prelubed the engine, verified oil pressure, reinstalled the dist and with fingers crossed, lit it off. Oil pressure popped right up and it ran fine. I don't know why the kit wasn't working properly. I have had it for years and have used it on several cars. Oh well, it has a crack, so it is junk anyway.
I just need to fill it with water, set the base timing and it should be ready to rip.
