Wasn't there a Supremes ruling on that one? The ones in DC, not the ones that used to be in Detroit.

Reason I asked is sometimes they look fine but you can feel a slight ridge with a fingernail.. Those that can be felt are generally chucked.. As the ones you feel tend to break the next few hits.. A fella gets to figuring out what is good vs what is not..

Your launches are probably softer than a spinning wheel hit..
(a spinning wheel will get a broken axle on impact in the arena.. Saavy drivers slam on their brakes when they see a hit coming)

                      • The slicks and foot braking the car are probably why the 28's are surviving. The tire absorbs a lot of the initial hit.

Add a tbrake and some radials and they might not live.

                        • t-brake and DR's on your agenda? You keep messing around and you're gonna need a cage.

                          • Not the t-brake. I have a vb in the trans that I am very happy with. I would like for the DR's to work and they sort of do, but not nearly as well as the slicks do so far. They seem to stick at the initial hit, then as the car gets moving, they spin. Just like they did in Dallas on DW2012 when it went toward the wall.

                            • Buddy - if I had a combination that worked as well as yours does - I wouldn't make any major changes, keep making little tweaks as time and money allow, and continue to enjoy the heck out of it!

                              • I hear that. I'm trying not to do anything too drastic. Just improvements here and there. The S-box is a big change, but this seemed like a good time to jump in and get it done. It certainly has come a long way since that first 12.83 @ 113 pass back in 2010!
