Looks like the shop is coming together nicely. I've had a hoist for 20+ years and it's the best tool I've ever owned. And the GTO is coming along, too.

Nightwatch is too dark. It's the original color of my 79 Formula, the body work isn't good enough for dark colors.

Did some fun stuff, for the lift almost installed. Sanded the dents on the 65 to bare metal, pulled the trim, and generally been enjoying the warm mid 40s weather.

Pontiac's Nightwatch Blue Metallic is always a favorite.

Lift isn't done yet, but soon. At least it's anchored. The dent in the fender is nastier than I thought it would be, next step is pull the wheel well and bump it out from behind. Can pull the GTO emblem while I'm in there. I think I'll cheat on the doorjambs and not pull the doors, it's going to be my driver now so I don't mind. Thinking about some EFI for this thing, and headers because why not.

I'm leaning towards Ford's flame blue, but it still might end up burnt orange or red. I like blue best, but is a wait and see thing. Whatever way I go, it will be low buck.
I saw this bad boy blue Grand Am yesterday.

Thanks Bob, what is lacking is unsupervised mayhem, irreverent chatter, and socially unacceptable commentary.

Works for Me Dan, if I can find it I will, have my finger on the pulse as it were.

For some reason I can't bring up page 46

Todd - Hope you don't mind but I passed along that "I know a guy" with Pontiac parts and experience to a lady here in town with a RUST FREE '65 LeMans. She's probably in her 50s and it was her mother's car so it's been in the family since new. She runs a radiator shop (I was there to get a little part) and the LeMans is currently in the shop awaiting parts so I mentioned that I might be able to help. I'll PM you if anything comes of it but she was pretty excited that someone might have or know where to get some of the stuff they can't seem to find. I'll keep you posted.

It's good to see the GTO getting the love it needs.

The yellow looks too grandpa for me even if the same color as the 65 GTO that hauls ass and is owned by Brian Rock. That yellow has grown on me, but for something I'm going to be driving in the summer, it doesn't get it for me.
It is one of three colors I wanted for my Impala. The original color is different and original enough, this copper/orange, and cobalt blue.

I know that at one time they sold relabeled Sherwin-Williams (Dupli-Color) - nothing wrong with that. I'm not sure if that's still their supplier.

Or this red since it's close to the original color.

Anything but that pale yellow jaundice on it now.
the red is the color I sprayed the Corvette - I think it turned out lighter then they claimed and even the paint chip didn't seem to match. I liked the color so it wasn't a huge deal; but be warned that their colors are in the ball park, not dead accurate.

and I thought about that orange for the FJ40 - in the end I went with a flat paint and one that is more likely to hide bumps and bruises.... but either color is pretty nice. I should also mention that the orange was the base color for my Buick and is pretty close to the 2004-2006 GTO color... I think it needed a touch more black... that said, they spray easily and they seem pretty durable.

I like yellow because it looks "sleeperish"
But the red/orange tickles me in all the right places!

I'm going to be politically correct and say I like both.
