Todd, that's just heartbreaking. One of the best pieces of advice I got when #2 and I wre breaking us was that "Everything always works out". Usually not the way you think it will but it'll be OK.

    Best of luck

    Dan

Sucks to have to fight that fight but always good to have ammunition for it when the situation arises. Hope all goes well for you.

What a messed up deal. Dave tried to take my dogs to the shelter and move me out while I was unable to be home for the last two weeks. Its a long story that makes me feel like Andy Dufrense from Shawshank, and now Dave has joined in with the irrational females. He will never drive the GTO, and I will probably sell it to pay lawyers to fight for me because my rights have been trampled, and the ADA is going to be at the crux of it. It makes me sad that I can't trust anyone, they will still blame me for things I had no part in, that they brought upon themselves. Well, this crippled war guy still has some fight left in him, and he is bringing the legal pain, and this car is going to finance the effort.

Its ironic that the car I built to say thank you is what will finance the legal dismantling of his family and their financial lives. If they back off now and apologize for what they have tried to do to me, I will just drive it around next year instead of selling it. I doubt they will, because they have tried damn hard to make me a bad guy out of all this, only because they are embarrassed at what they have done. I am going to war again, the shock and awe starts tomorrow with a visit from the sheriff.

Moving sucks. And, I have 1/4 the car stuff you got. I hope you get more help than I got.

Nah, they'll just think you've been selected for an American Pickers episode or some reality TV car deal!

I was wondering where you were. The cars look great. Good luck with the move. I wish I was close enough to lend a hand.

Dave came by today and I had just put an old Holley on it because I dont have time to do a Qjet for it right now. I set the timing and did some other stuff earlier today, and he heard it run for the first time. You should have seen the smile he got from hearing it. Right now the exhaust is in the trunk so it only has manifolds and a few feet of pipe under it, so its loud and rattly. He said he might buy some new bumpers and an Edelbrock carb for it, he really wants to go cruising but I dont have the time to finish it since I have to move.

Todd, you're a good guy and a good friend - wherever that friend may have come from. I'm sorry Dave's daughter lost her mind but neither you nor Dave are responsible for that. I know you'll get the GTO done for him and I'll bet big money that he feels your love as expressed in the '65.

    Carry on!

Dave is pretty broken up about events of this summer, he is trying really hard to keep me here. He doesnt want me to go. That makes me nervous, because he has been suffering from congestive heart failure since 2009 when I started work on this car. He knows I take care of his daughter, that she cant on her own, and her new kidiot cant do it either. Anyway, if he is worried this much, then I am too. His car is going to get done, drivable, and finished this week. No matter what it takes, Dave is going to be able to cruise his GTO this summer.

Things it needs. Alignment, I can get it close but I want it done right. The wiring needs finished so everything works. Exhaust needs put under it, and there is a 2.5" Pypes system sitting with mufflers. The passenger seat needs installed. The windshield needs replaced, the bumpers need the right bolts, and more grease added to the front hubs. Then I need to figure out a carb, want to build another Qjet for it, but it might get a Holley or one of the new Demon carbs that looks like an old AFB.

I really hope he is ok, I know the stress is getting to him. The guy really cares about me, so he needs to drive this car this year.

I use them both when I flip my trailer to work on it, and also to pull car bodies off frames. I fixed my trailer a couple weeks ago, and I havent put them away yet. Makes more room in the shop, but really I should put the good one in the big shed for a while.

Man, that sounds GOOD. I'll be in the garage this weekend dreaming about that sound coming from my T/A.
