    Todd,

The car looks great. Amazing transformation. As others have said, I wouldn't have even attempted to save it.

Also I agree, best thread on BS (other than the ladies posing with cars thread )

Here it is in sunlight. I found a bit of a problem. Not entirely sure how to fix it short of sanding and shooting again. I guess doing that would allow me to fix the first chip I put in it too. Mayne I will wait a while and see if anyone notices....

      Hey its TWINS!

What you've done is simply epic. You took a rust bucket POS and turned it into a "want to have" vehicle.

You are a "doer", great freakin job!!
              I'm still learning

Thanks guys, its fun learning how to do this stuff. I figure if there is enough car there why not build it? A little rust isnt a big deal, a lot of rust means a lot of work though.

Not sure I see your "issue" yet, but you CAN touch up base/clear. I know PPG (and probably others) make a spray can product that will melt new clear into older clear so you can do repairs w/o doing the whole car. I used it for a fix on the Dakota but found a problem. The can I got was missing a piece for the nozzle and it came out in a splatter instead of a spray, so check for that.

The pinstripe on the passenger door doesnt match the fender, its off by a bit less than a quarter inch. Just need to sand down part of the door, reshoot the yellow and stripe, then clear it again, or just leave it. I will probably just leave it or refinish the entire door.

Right now its very noticeable. Probably just going to leave it since I dont feel like painting again for a while.

Worked quite a bit today, not much to show for it. Found most of the trim, straightened a bit of it, did some polishing, and put the vent windows in. Took this pic yesterday, I think these are the wheels its going to get for a while. Might get some early Rally wheels next year, but for now I will use these. I hope I can find another pair for the front, these were the only 15" Pontiac wheels I had back home. No idea where the 5 sets of them I used to have went.

Thought I should update this, no pics but the windows are going in, weather stripping being applied, and parts are on order. When the mounts and crossmember get here, it will have an engine and trans in it. Probably just the th400 thats kicking around the shop bolted to the 455 I pulled from the 70. It just might run yet this year, video for sure if it happens.

Actually worked on this one a bit today too. Fixed the door latch striker and got more done putting the door windows in. Sometimes I just have to work on something that isnt rusted so bad anymore. Crap, I just remembered a spot I have to fix in the floor... At least I have the stuff to do it handy, and its an easy fix. Need to do that before I put an interior in this thing.
