Kid got me sicker than a poodle that loves drinking antifreeze. Ive gotten a bit more done, but have barely been able to move this week. Seems to be breaking, should have a good weekend ahead of me. -
Ouch! Hope you feel better soon.... We are "supposed to have" nice weather.... Will see... Grass is almost knee hi for the 3rd time this year... Looked into the organic GTO's. Today was a productive day. The carb should be done soon, and I got the brakes figured out on the GTO. Had to pull some parts from my parts Camaro, its nice having stuff just laying around waiting for it to be needed. Will have some pics later, maybe tomorrow after my appointment. A trip to Nebraska for graduation, finishing the kitchen so the wife doesnt feel like the house is unfinished, and feeling like crap sure takes its toll on getting shit done.
This is what I did for three days this week after getting back from Husker land. I dont have a before pic of it that I know of, lets just say it was ghetto and cobbled together out of stuff that was laying around. There is an island in the middle, and the oven goes on the end where the old white sink basin is. Need to procure a new oven, because the old one is older than me and even more tired.

You guys say I am fast, yet here I am more than a month since I did anything to my cars. Finally feeling better, and Dave has moved enough boats out of the big shed for me to move the Mustang out and make room to work. It about killed me pushing that thing up the hill with the kid, seriously out of breath but it didnt hurt like last the last few weeks.
Here is the plan, get the glass installed, the engine plumbed, a trans built, all the weather stripping done, and git this thing running in June. I have so many other things that need doing, and this one is holding it up. So unless I cough up a lung, its go time on this and Bobs carb. First thing tomorrow is finish the carb so I can test it and send it out. Then set the shop up to work on the GTO, with plenty of room around it. I want it done. I havent driven any of the cars I have been building because I stop on them before they are road ready, and start another one. That crap has to end, and this one is going to drive provided my heath doesnt go south again.
Thought it would be fun to look at some before and after pics.

Cant wait to get the trim on and all the body panels bolted up for the last time.Comment

it still amazes me how it started out as most people would not have even used it as a parts carOriginally posted by Remy-Z;n1167534Congratulations, man. You've just inherited the "Patron Saint of Automotive Lost Causes" from me. No question.

this is cool, in that you've take what was really scrap and made it a running, driving vehicle all while learning and honing youre skills. I see a few positives for this, not only are you becomeing a better body guy, but the car in the distant future may fall into the hands of someone else who may tear it down and start over again, making it that much better for future generations to appreciate and enjoy....what would ahve been a fender for a prius is now something that someone will truly enjoy for another 40 or more years. If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark DonohueComment

Finally got to do some whispering today. Getting the bumper off the Le Mans so I could use the taillights from it was a treat. Wiped me out, still cant breathe but got it done. Cleaned up the lenses and bolted them to the painted quarter extensions. Also put the trunk lock in and bolted the arrowhead on. Doesnt sound like much, but man am I tired now.
Heres the pics.

Noticed a spot where my body work is crap, and I thought I had the extensions on when I blocked the quarters to be sure it all lined up... gggrrrr..... Oh well, its a driver, not a show car.Comment
