I'm throwing this pic of one of my E85 Qjets on here so I can show people how clean they are after a decade of running ethanol.1 Photo -
Started salting roads here in OR in the last couple years. Too many from other states come here and force the policy of salt is better... In ODOT, or govmnt offices.. Thankfully it rains enough I can stay home till it does..Leave a comment:

I got 2ft the first week of November, wasn't ready to put the Goat away but after the salt goes on the road it doesn't move until May. I'll get lots more before it starts to melt in mid April.Originally posted by Dan Barlow View PostWow real accumulation already !Leave a comment:

That looks like the UP! There's a reason I no longer live in MI (even though I was always a troll).

Well Dan, since I am back in the car thing, chances are I will be making the videos people been pestering me about for the last few years. The house is coming along, though I freeze my ass off when its under 20F here. Got a break today with temps near 30. I am ready to move back to Nebraska where I can do more car related activities for a longer time every year.
Here is the yard where some of the cars are parked.1 PhotoLeave a comment:

Great to hear from you! Yes, there HAS been a lot of water over the dam since that project kicked off. Hope life is good for you. Please stay in touch - I, for one, value you and your input. You're my go-to Pontiac guy as well as storage container house builder.
EDIT: I just went back and looked at the start date for Mutt - December 2012, so 7 years. Lots of water over THAT dam, too!

Three years of driving it, its been ten years since I started on it, getting another 700R4 from a diesel 3/4 ton suburban put in with a 2400 stall should make it more fun next summer. I noticed photobucket blurred them and there are no watermarks when you go to the site, so I downloaded all the pics I had on there, because I lost the hard drive data that had all those on it.
Started this project in November 09... A lot has happened since then.1 PhotoLeave a comment:

Turns out that fel pro head gaskets are not terribly fond of 13:1 compression. Had to swap my 670s on and lower the compression to 11.5:1 which killed some power, and dropped the mileage a bit, while making it quieter. The fix is cometic head gaskets, but at $86 a side, I decided to drop the squeeze for the rest of the summer.
The paint is showing the miles, lots of spots on it. With light primer and the yellow under it, every chip stands out. Its still a fun car to drive, even if I am working on it more now than I want to. There are two others in the short time pipeline to be my summer daily drivers, so this one might end up getting some metal replaced, and massaged next year. For now though, Im running the valves again today and changing the oil on it after getting the street strip Formula driveable again.Leave a comment:

Great job with the gto. I find it funny how I’ve been struggling to put a q jet in the 350p for almost a year and you yank an engine and replace it in an evening.i Can’t wait to get to that point. I will see how that q jet performs this weekend on my trip to traverse city and the week after the old Pontiac will see Munising. love the work thump that junkyard ornament is back to king of the roadLeave a comment:

Thank Jim, been a fun project. Hell of a grocery getter.
Drove the Goat in around 4pm, had the 400 out by 6, and the 455 nestled in by 9. Finishing it off today. My hands are permanently dirty now.2 PhotosLeave a comment:

Its a fun something. If I don't got it handled, it will not get done.. lolOriginally posted by DanStokes View PostIt's always SOMETHING, ain't it??!! Wish I lived close enough to come lend a hand but it looks like you've GOT this.
Dan
I feel like a 16 year old kid today, a kid who is sore from working out too much, but excited about MOAR POWAR going in my car. The 400/Th350 is almost out of the 65, and I have everything setup so it goes back together quickly. Doing some upgrades and improvements while the engine is out, mostly the fuel system, and checking everything under there again. might put the larger fuel pump on, it has a 225lph right now, and I have a new 255 in the box.
I'm racing Ligget to see who can get the engine swap done first. Maybe next year we can see which is faster, the 390 or the 455... if I can make the Rocky Mountain Race Week.Leave a comment:
