Dave came by today and I had just put an old Holley on it because I dont have time to do a Qjet for it right now. I set the timing and did some other stuff earlier today, and he heard it run for the first time. You should have seen the smile he got from hearing it. Right now the exhaust is in the trunk so it only has manifolds and a few feet of pipe under it, so its loud and rattly. He said he might buy some new bumpers and an Edelbrock carb for it, he really wants to go cruising but I dont have the time to finish it since I have to move.

I parked it next to the LeMans and took a couple pics of them together. I bet people driving by think I am some kind of drug dealer with all the muscle cars I have sitting around.

I was wondering where you were. The cars look great. Good luck with the move. I wish I was close enough to lend a hand.

Nah, they'll just think you've been selected for an American Pickers episode or some reality TV car deal!

What a messed up deal. Dave tried to take my dogs to the shelter and move me out while I was unable to be home for the last two weeks. Its a long story that makes me feel like Andy Dufrense from Shawshank, and now Dave has joined in with the irrational females. He will never drive the GTO, and I will probably sell it to pay lawyers to fight for me because my rights have been trampled, and the ADA is going to be at the crux of it. It makes me sad that I can't trust anyone, they will still blame me for things I had no part in, that they brought upon themselves. Well, this crippled war guy still has some fight left in him, and he is bringing the legal pain, and this car is going to finance the effort.

Its ironic that the car I built to say thank you is what will finance the legal dismantling of his family and their financial lives. If they back off now and apologize for what they have tried to do to me, I will just drive it around next year instead of selling it. I doubt they will, because they have tried damn hard to make me a bad guy out of all this, only because they are embarrassed at what they have done. I am going to war again, the shock and awe starts tomorrow with a visit from the sheriff.

Sucks to have to fight that fight but always good to have ammunition for it when the situation arises. Hope all goes well for you.

Todd, that's just heartbreaking. One of the best pieces of advice I got when #2 and I wre breaking us was that "Everything always works out". Usually not the way you think it will but it'll be OK.

                  Best of luck

We don't need any more proof that bad things sometimes happen to good people!

Todd - don't make lawyers richer. Please. Win or lose, in the end you'll say "I'm glad its done."
But if it's a battle you want, the fight you want to do is $100,000 in legal expenses - your car, makes a good retainer.

Yes, I get they're doing all sorts of bad things - but let the criminal system handle the theft, and B&E, and EEOC handle the ADA claims (though, I'm kind of confused about how a person could run afoul of the ADA).

Build your shop, build your new house - because the best revenge is to do well.

They used my disability and military service to claim I am dangerous and capable of things I would never do. They painted me as if I am some kind of special forces assassin rather than a crippled cargo guy. The judge called me a terrorist and assumed I was like Rambo waiting to destroy a small town with an M60, and not a guy who wants to build cars and put her and the way her family is treating me in my past. Now she has the township trying to force me out and off my property claiming I am dangerous and violent.

In short they used the stigma surrounding PTSD and serving in a war against me. Now they want to take more from me, and tried to take the dogs away that help me deal with all the heartbreak, sadness, and despair of my life.

All of this because she wants to sleep with a guy nobody likes, not even her parents. She has destroyed the fire department here because she wants him in it, and the capable competent members don't want him breaking the trucks and equipment. All the capable guys quit leaving her, her boyfriend, and another female that backs trucks into trees, and blames me for it. As if more than 500 professional firefighters and law enforcement people could be swayed by me.

People in the legal system buy her crap because I am ex military, been to war, and I am overly muscled due to my job there pushing pallets. I look intimidating and the bias and stigma around gulf war and nam vets is used against me, despite being non violent, helpful to the community, kind, and generous to everyone I meet.

Being called a terrorist by a judge then sitting in jail for the last two weeks for something I didn't do, based on my appearance and military service is unacceptable. Paying that kid to sleep with my wife band break up my marriage is insulting beyond nearly anything in my life. Having the small town courts do this to me because I am a war veteran is reprehensible.

Todd - is there any military legal representation?

that stinks of corruption like the Sheriff in convoy

The 500 people are those he worked with around the two counties here. Haven't met anyone in fire/ems that doesn't loathe the kid. The jailers know him, and treated me like a celebrity, knowing I got screwed over. I have never met someone so disliked by so many people before, I was utterly astounded that everyone unanimously dislikes him for all the same reasons. Usually someone likes unpopular people, but its only my ex and the other female on the department.

But its because I am a war vet that all this is happening.

The VA doesn't get into things like this. The sheriff here didn't want to pursue it, the state patrol and county prosecutor did despite having zero evidence I did anything. All because she played the abused by the violent war vet card. We never even argued and she had all the freedom she wanted, which is how she met that kid.

I doubt anyone will really care, they all forget us and hope we just go away. When we don't run off, they do this to us. Her mother has been trying to get me to leave the state, and this whole thing was setup to make me leave.

This sounds like typical bs women pull when they feel guilty for leaving a guy high & dry. Get the hell out of there and be done with it. She's a loser.
