Todd - Hope you don't mind but I passed along that "I know a guy" with Pontiac parts and experience to a lady here in town with a RUST FREE '65 LeMans. She's probably in her 50s and it was her mother's car so it's been in the family since new. She runs a radiator shop (I was there to get a little part) and the LeMans is currently in the shop awaiting parts so I mentioned that I might be able to help. I'll PM you if anything comes of it but she was pretty excited that someone might have or know where to get some of the stuff they can't seem to find. I'll keep you posted.
It's good to see the GTO getting the love it needs.

Thanks Bob, what is lacking is unsupervised mayhem, irreverent chatter, and socially unacceptable commentary.
Works for Me Dan, if I can find it I will, have my finger on the pulse as it were.

I saw this bad boy blue Grand Am yesterday.Originally posted by Thumpin455 View PostGot started today, been doing other stuff, fixing the driver, fixing friends cars, goofing off waiting for the weather to get decent, installing the lift, stuff like that. Lift isn't done yet, but soon. At least it's anchored. The dent in the fender is nastier than I thought it would be, next step is pull the wheel well and bump it out from behind. Can pull the GTO emblem while I'm in there. I think I'll cheat on the doorjambs and not pull the doors, it's going to be my driver now so I don't mind. Thinking about some EFI for this thing, and headers because why not.
I'm leaning towards Ford's flame blue, but it still might end up burnt orange or red. I like blue best, but is a wait and see thing. Whatever way I go, it will be low buck.2 PhotosBS'er formally known as Rebeldryver

Nightwatch is too dark. It's the original color of my 79 Formula, the body work isn't good enough for dark colors.
Did some fun stuff, for the lift almost installed. Sanded the dents on the 65 to bare metal, pulled the trim, and generally been enjoying the warm mid 40s weather.3 PhotosComment

I spoil myself as far as the shop goes. I have heat, a little AC, and as mentioned, the hoist as well as a decent air compressor, an engine hoist and stands, welding and metal fab gear, and other tools that allow me to do what I do. It keeps me active which is a really good thing both for my mental and physical health so I can justify it both as entertainment and as a health need so I have it set up to work year 'round. It's worth it.

winning! If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark DonohueComment
