I think I finally have the problem with the site fixed. We will see... I've been busy, have big plans for this year including a Jeep power steering box, bigger swaybars, different wheels, floor shifter, seatbelts, and air bags to lift the rear end a bit so I can haul something in the trunk without scraping the back bumper.

Damn, lucky I got this thing going this year, Tahoe died, 98 Formula summer DD needed work, I would have been sitting here wondering who could bring parts out to BFE. So far it has a very slow trans leak from the converter, and an oil leak from the front seal around the balancer. Neither are a big thing, just stains on the floor. In the near future it will get a fresh 400 and probably a 200R4 or a 5 speed to go along with a 3.08 or 3.36 set of gears. I needed this thing running this year, everything else needs work. I have been having too much fun driving it to do more work to it, and finding the time to do things like the headlinder or changing the door panel emblems from LeMans to GTO hasnt happened. Damn thing is dead nuts reliable, but I want to make things better, as in brakes and steering. A booster and a faster ratio box are in the works once the snow hits and this thing gets parked.

The messed up part is I spent more time helping other people out with their junk than working on my own. So I am looking at winter without a truck. Didn't get lots of things done this year that I wanted to, like indoor plumbing and parking space, but I had fun every time I drove the GTO. Been trashing on the 88 C1500 short box when everyone leaves me alone long enough to get to it. Might start a thread on that one, since I have some low buck plans for making it into a cool parts chaser, lumber hauler, and trailer yanking fun ride. Low buck is relative, I discovered chevy is nowhere near as inexpensive as building my Pontiacs.

Way to go, Todd! I'm in the market for a student/shop slave myself but no luck so far.

Was out this morning, happened to see a friend's 65. He is at Hardees every day with something, but not usually one of his GTOs the others are a 69 Judge and an 06 in blue. He's been hearing about the blue 65 running around town, everyone is telling him they've seen it.So I stopped and talked a while today. Also helped another guy with his 64 Fairlane.

We were talking as he looked mine over, last time he saw it was when I first got it back on the frame. A bunch of people stopped to ask questions, and one was an 18 year old kid who just moved here from Texas. He was beside himself seeing two 65 GTOs. I think he about wet himself when I said "Hop in if you want." Then I told him to start it. He made a video of the interior with his phone. There are still young gearheads out there who like old muscle, so I told him if he wants to learn how to do all of this, I'll get him started.
