Yeah that is coming up soon for me. I need to get a metal brake made or bought though, cant do that stuff with a hammer and an anvil and make it look decent.

You have mad skills, so my comment is more along the line to those who are interested in the process (not so much to you).

my dad owns a sheet metal fab company (builds kitchen equipment).... so I have access to a 200 ton 12' press brake, a 10' 1/4 capacity shear... and still make those window rails with 3 pieces of material because those rails/roof bend in 3 different directions.

I been thinking about getting a shrinker/stretcher so I can make curved pieces because right now I need to section or pie cut it then weld it and that is more grinding and heat. Eastwood has em cheap, so I might order them this month. The guy down the road with the large sandblaster has a huge press brake like that, dies to shear and make channels. So I am going to bug him when I start on those parts.

Im not so sure about the mad skills part though... Im learning too, its just I have no fear of screwing it up since its already so freakin bad.

Sure did, but the only big body parts I need now are a hood and bumpers, provided I can fix the front fender or get a replacement. I have been thinking about replacing the drivers side wheelhouse, otherwise it will be lots of work considering it has been moved in about an inch on the front half. Shipping time and cost play a big part in who I get parts from. If I need it in a hurry the Paddock can get it to me in two days, everyone else takes about a week because of where I live. Next day air and 2nd day is useless here, still takes three days.

I bought quarters from them for my 70 Skylark, it took about a week - it comes from Cleveland - so it shouldn't be too terrible to get it quickly (for you at least).
I like them because of their customer service (add to it they are quite a bit cheaper then their competitors and you have the perfect company)..... one of the panels was dented, they simply gave me a full refund - before they received the pictures from me detailing the damage. Also, the panels are EG coated rather then simply black chinese rust protector..... and best of all, the panels I received were made in the USA.... again, obviously I like them... ;)

<Shermanparts.com> is a Michigan company and may be a bit quicker or you could pick them up if you feel like a drive downstate (Washington Twp, if memory serves). Their bits are mostly from China, though, and sometimes you have to massage them to get a decent fit.

You guys are going to swell my head and make me think I am actually good at this stuff.. ;)

The last time I checked Sherman they didnt have anything for my cars, just my C10. They have quite a few parts now, I was surprised at how many parts they have now. Prices arent bad either.

I got a bit more done today, yesterday all I did was bang metal around trying to get the quarter flat. To get the rear part in the right spot I figured why not weld the patch and drop in. Seems to have worked out good and the quarter isnt oil canned, so thats good. I measured the passenger side to the fender lip and the difference between the sides was almost two inches. Therefore I decided to make some adjustments to the wheel house and ended up cutting a wrinkled part out. I'll replace it with a patch from the hood. The second drop and rear patch went so much smoother than the first, since I had never done those before it makes sense the second one would go better.

The drop tacked in to fit everything.

The chunk of wheel house I sectioned out to replace tomorrow.

                      Before and after the patch.

I'm really enjoying this thread, watching this Goat come together from bits and pieces. Great job, glad you aren't afraid to go for it. More people should do the same, it's only metal, you can grind it and re-weld it.

Here's the latest, bumping dents doesnt show much so here are the welds I did. Also did some other stuff with the rotisserie.

A rust hole on top of the quarter cut out and patched, it was pitted around it pretty bad. Doesnt look as nice as it will, I didnt grind on it much.

And the patches in the wheel well.
