Here's a pic of a '63 Roadster with a code correct Sebring Silver exterior that I missed out on.
I just loved the year specific hood and knock-off wheels.
Awesome Steve, awesome. I like the yellow, just always had a thing for it. Maybe its cuz of the Butternut 68 Camaro that my dad wouldn't let me buy when I was 14...
Anyway, congrats on the acquisition. May it bring you much pleasure and satisfaction.
The official Bangshift garage door guru. Just about anything can be built using garage door parts, trust me.
Hey, good for you! That body style is one of my all time favorites. If I ever buy a vette, that's what it'll be. Only down side is bigger guys like me are a little cramped inside, but it's worth it!
The silver one with sidepipes and stinger hood...talk about classy.
Arild, that is not a "Stinger" hood, rather it's the special "Power Blister" hood (a funnel-shaped air scoop),
that 1965 Corvettes with the newly optional 396-cid "big-block" V-8 came with.
... but still classy !!
;)
Here is an example of a "Stinger" hood (a large front-opening air scoop over the center bulge),
that was released in 1967 for Big-block cars, instead of the previous power blister.
Keep the yellowish cream colour, one of my favorite colours for a 60's car for some reason. Not really a fan of either of the blues or the silver. Black is nice but I still like the yellow better.
I think I saw somewhere that you are thinking of a color change, what do you have in mind?
Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement everyone !
91Bird, I have never been one for the flashy "look at me" paint schemes.
Would like to stick with an original color and so far I am thinking Sebring Silver or Marina Blue.
Still contemplating though.
You got any ideas ?
I have never been a fan of Butternut...reminds me of puss....I like Sebring Silver...or black...can never go wrond witha black vette....
If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue
in this case - the silver is less " look at me" than the marina blue - but I love blue - so - that's my favorite.
i say a wheel similar to the wheels on the silver 63 you missed out on would be very huge improvement over the caps and still keep a very original look to the overall package.

I agree John, those are aftermarket, bolt on "knock-off" wheels.
I know everyone has heard of Redlines (mostly due to Hot Wheels).
... but has anyone else heard of "Goldline" tires ?
I think Goldlines & bolt on "knock-off" wheels would look great on my car.
