Death Machine.....Version 3.....

Those of you who know me also know that Luke and I are hooked on Mini-Bikes....I am detuning the Death Machine for Logan so that he can ride it....I took the "5 hp" B&S off of it today and test fitted the new engine.....a 2.5 hp. The "big" motor is going on the other frame I have.....but probably won't happen until after I get a new job and move. For now here are a few pics.....







Logan is going to love it.....He turns 10 tomorrow.

Ok....Need some help.....The Damn thing is still fast.

I am good at fast......not so good at slow. Here is what I have done....

Switched to a 10 tooth clutch.....and a 72 tooth rear sprocket.....(from a 12 and 60) and cut the power in 1/3....

But this thing still does an easy 30mph.....a little too quick for Logan....

Help me out.....How do people make slow things?

You've limited the gearing, now limit the engine speed, just how they do it at the go kart tracks.

There's got to be a way in that throttle linkage to limit it, put a nut on the cable near the braket to keep it from coming all the way open???
