        Re: My 74 Maverick project

This is just a condensed version of my build threads from other boards I have literally 10k pics or more of every aspect of the build.

I know these will be some questions

the motor is a mustang long block with TRW forged pistons, stock E7 heads and cam, truck intake, mustang SD ECu and Moates 1/4 horse tuner, walbro 255 pump, holset Hx50 turbo,3.5" down pipe yada yada yada

the trans is a truck AOD with a shift kit (:O)

        stock 8" rear with a 3.80 gear

It's fun to drive and gets 27.5 mpg out on the road

wow.... truly that is the first maverick I've seen that I like .... amazing how few mods really change the character of the car - excellent work.

You've done a marvelous job!! I like Mavericks and think they look like down-sized Torinos. Is yours a factory Grabber? Regardless, it is kick-butt.

Thanks, Joe. I keep telling folks that you don't need a $10,000 booth and all kinds of fancy stuff to do a perfectly acceptable paint job. Thanks for helping me make my point. Not that a booth wouldn't be nice but it's not necessary. The Mav looks great and I think you're having fun with it. THAT'S what counts.
