Well I have stopped buying stuff for cars I don't own. Is that a step in the right or wrong direction?

A clear-cut case of axle tube weld abuse.

I noticed your original trailing arms and thought I throw my .02 in

fwiw I had these made for my 67 because the originals bent upwards due to excessive rust in the joint between the two channels.

2x3 box? what thickness? Fuzzy pic but they look good. I am not worried about the arms yet. The 12 bolt seems to be the fuse. I started researching Dana 60 center with large ford weld on ends and drilled for the 6 bolt pattern. With a used rear and and the jig I think I can come in about a $1000.00 all said and done. Right now, good or bad, I am working on the org rear.

Yea a bit of a surprise to me to.

It was pointed out to me by the wife unit that the miles driven to hours fixing ratio was on the unacceptable side of the chart. my response "Awwww but I like burnouts"

Dan it was the tires fault.

As Russell so eloquently stated...I am a jackass. Or at least driving like one.

Rev it up, let go of the clutch, and bang.clunk..clunk...clunk......clunk.............c lunk

                    broke the welds.

I like burnouts as well, they used to be one of my favorite stress relievers. I used to have to buy new tires every year. Steve what is the ratio of miles driven to miles towed? Oh you going to make it to Ohio in Sept?

Yes, 2x3 boxed and that pic is at least 15 years old, pre-digital camera for me.

Culling the herd. The 66 and all associated parts are gone...sold...by by. I'm not sad at all. Narrowing down to one....maybe two projects.

Next to go. The 633 and the 67 lemans/gto
