You raced near me.... how's that pucker factor in the shut down area?
I used to race Karts there.

Back when i had a locker in the car it was pretty scary. I've been so close to that wall that i thought sparks would be flying off of my door. I put a Detroit TruTrac in it last week, now i can shut it off at the finish line and carry enough speed to coast all the way back around and into the pits without refiring the engine. Here's a pic of me trying to get it slowed down for the corner back when it had the locker...

Our local 5/8 paved oval use to run drags on the front straight on friday nights. It was the only time I put a front swaybar on the 70 Mustang I raced there lol. At least we ran counter clockwise, you guys have the wall right out your drivers door : (.

Good to see all your talented hard work is paying off.

ET times? How long is the track?

                        1.304 60' last week.

Been driving it all summer. A couple months ago it broke a front u-joint which caused a little damage. Twisted the Toploader's input shaft, bent the mainshaft in 2 places, twisted the output yoke, and turned the aluminum tailhousing to shrapnel. Had to tow it home for the 1st time, it sat for about month while i found the time to fab a replacement tailhousing from steel. Made from .065" sheetmetal, ended up lighter than the aluminum SROD housing that it replaces. Allowed me to make a lighter shifter bracket as well, as it's mount was moved to the pass side.

That's a new one to me. Never seen someone make their own tailshaft housing. Looks good.
                            Escaped on a technicality.

It's been battle tested, been running it all year. The extra brackets on the top cover are guides for the external shift rails.

Here's a few pics of my "Hillbilly Clutch Slipper" install, basically just an adjustable hydraulic storm door closer installed on my clutch pedal to soften the clutch hit. It's adjustable for...
                              ...release rate
...where in the pedal travel that it becomes active
It only slows down the last bit of pedal travel on release, the rest of the pedal in/out travel is like normal.

Been using it for quite a while now, works great...

Also installed an electric crankcase evac pump behind the dash. Draws 4"Hg on 12v, 8"Hg when attached to a 18v cordless tool battery pack. When driving it around on the street, i use a resistor to drop it to 9v. When the nitrous comes on, a relay sends full voltage to the pump...
