Great deal Man - just goes to show you that market is everything! Like real estate, location location location.
Cars like that in chicagoland - for the most part - just aren't that sought after.
Good for you!

Great car, especially for the price. New parts alone would cost triple. Have fun with it.BS'er formally known as Rebeldryver

Re: 1991 Z28
Start browsing the Megamanual.com and diyautotune.com. Then pick from what you think you'd like best. DG has a lot of comfort with MS1extra (the extra is the firmware programming) and the EMSpro is based on that. My preferences has been with the MS2 (but I have waaay less diversity in my experience, one MS1extra and one MS2). I will likely upgrade my MS2 firmware to MS2/extra, sometime soon-ish.Escaped on a technicality.Comment

That looks like an interesting kit. I want to turbo my formula but I think I want to duplicate the turbo fairmont from dragweek.Coming at you live from the birthplace of GM,Flint,Mi. Where your car is worth more than the property it's parked on.Comment

Re: 1991 Z28
That kit does look interesting.
Those pieces add up separately quick if you're buying them new.
Not have a tig welder for a project like this means it will look less like jewelry - but - if you have a mig, and a grinder - it can still look damned good!
I'm not sure I'd go stainless and brand new for my first try - might go with mild steel and paint or wrap and see how it worked - makes "oops" pieces less painfull?
You're a better welder / faber than I am tho - and stainless means you can keep it nice for less work a lot longer....
or - you don't have to pay the ceramic coater when you're done if you want to keep it nice. There's always something new to learn.Comment
