i just bought a 86 fiero yesterday for 200 as my first car
its and 86 Pontiac fiero gt automatic 101,547 miles
    first day i saw it:

getting the car, with 4 flat tires we had to bring 2 air tanks a jack and jackstand. the car was located at a heavy equipment shop. the only way to get it down from a hill was a dirt ramp with a mach truck parked at the bottom of it. we had about 5 feet to slip the fiero down because a cliff was on the sides of the hill. this wasn't the only problem at the bottom of the hill is a very large crater in the dirt so we put a piece of 2x4 down so we wouldn't mess up the spoilers. dad got in the car and pushed and i pushed dad missed the mach truck by half an inch and rode right on the 2x4 and we kept the momentum up and kept rolling right on to the Dolley:

more pictures of the interior will be posted tonight

why did they park it? which motor/trans?

cool 1st car - lots and lots of potential.... and to preempt a comment that is certainly coming - that isn't the fire-hazard car

only one word of caution on this thing - if you have to open the cooling system for any reason - be patient!

These things had a bad reputation of being hard to get air bubbles out of the cooling system when trying to get them filled up again.

      have fun with it!

I've always had a soft spot for the Fieros .... just something about a mid-engine sports car.

My buddy Mark had a 2M4 Fiero with the Iron Duke engine and a stick.

That car was waaay more fun than it had a right to be. I always wanted to drop a v8 in it, never had the chance, it was always moving!

You'll have fun with that one.

its the 2.8 v6 and i cant remember the transmission
they parked the car back in 97 because the fuel pump was bad and they didnt have the money to fix it. the guy said he could spray some a lil gas in the throttle body and it would crank right up just wouldnt run for long

                so far moeny spent 222.95

Cool first car. Look up the Fiero Factory in Toney Alabama, they do the NorthStar V-8 swaps and have parts cars.

Fiero parts. Worldwide shipping. Largest selection of used Fiero parts in the world. Fiero specialists in North Alabama.

Great score, Evan. You'll have a blast with it. If you work up the substrate (basically sand the hell out of it) I'll come up and teach you how to paint it. Probably the cheap base/clear system would be a good starter system to use.

My buddy Dave had one of those and he drove the poop out of it with no issues but his was a stick. No clue on the durability of the auto. I believe that drive train was borrowed from the X-car and there should be TONS of replacement engines, trannys, etc. for cheap.

                    HAVE FUN!

me and dad were talking a few minutes ago and the future plans are to take the v6 out and put a 350 in it with a 4t65e trans in it but keep it original
dan i might have to take your offer on the paint because i kinda want to learn how to paint and the car needs it. we were washing the car today and the clear coat was just flaking in dollar size peices

the interior is not bad but not good either (thats the sunroof seal hanging down)

                      the front or trunk:

                      thats all for today

I love the excitement of a new project.....

What about painting it with that duplicolor line of paint that is already pre-mixed? I've thought about learning to paint with it ....

Are you aware that you can fit 5 people in the sunroof models? True!

ive seen it advertised and ive watched shows that have featured it but i will ask my painter next time we are at his shop. its seems like a cheaper way to do a paint job
