          • No cleaning here. I gave it to my son for his 16 birthday. Of course there will be some changes to the engine and trans in the coming months. He will be posting this info himself as fordman jr. Now I will have to change the title of this thread to " Good Girl becomes Bad Girl".

              • We've all thought about handing down old cars to our sons - this will be a great thing for your family. Start him out with a low power engine / trans / axle set up - and tie any car improvements to his grades.

The best motivation I had to finish highschool with decent grades was Mom and Dad holding the title and keys to my '70 mach1.
                The ultimatum was very simple:
                - get a speeding ticket = car is sold
                - get bad grades = car is sold
That kept me from doing some of the stupid stuff I could have done.

inline 6 / c4 / 3.08 axle - he'll get decent mileage so he can afford to drive it, it will be mild manered enough he can handle it.
If he graduates with great grades - put a V8 in it.
There's always something new to learn.
