Hey guys, though I might share some pics of my car. It's getting the 25.5 treatment and I'm in the process of building a new engine.

Never thought I'd mention "bitchin'" and "Maverick" in the same sentence, but here it is....

Nice ride, my Dad had a '73 as his commuter back in the late 70's, always thought they were cool, especially with V8 power

Thanks for the compliments guys. I have since put a carbon cowl hood on it and a fiberglass bumper. Ignore the "454" on the cowl.

That is competely perfect man. That car has that look that says you are not as focused on the looks as much as the capability to pull the wheels and take some money. But, the car has a great clean look too.

                    What is the 25.5 treatment?

Is this a street car or a race car dressed as a streeter?

                      Re: Limited Street Maverick Progress

Awesome Maverick!!! I'm partial to Air Grabber hoods. The guy who taught me how to street race had a bright red 71, cleveland power, and strangely a 12 bolt rear. It was one of the fastest cars around during my high school era and it cemented the Mavericks as a totally perfect hot rod.

25.5 is a chassis cert, it will be certified to run 7.50s in the quarter.

This is a street car though, I drove it 40+ miles to California Speedway last November, raced it all weekend, and drove it home on pump gas. It really is a fun street car, but I figured might as well do it right the first time with the F/C cage so I never have to worry about upgrading.

Hoping to go 9s with this engine and 8.60s with the next.
