Yet another new member of the CarJunkieTV fleet

I just collected my folks' old Grand Cherokee. I've been looking for one as a good family road trip car that can do some decent 'wheeling. When I was at 4-Wheel & Off-Road I always thought the Grands were the most legit SUVs, and they actually perform off-road and can be made even better. Solid axles, coil springs, V-8. My new one is a '95 Orvis, which has sort of an ugly color combo but I'll get over it.

Yup. Minus the Orvis package. This is what they look like. It's the green/red/tan interior I could live without.

Although the Orvis interior is unfortunate, the grand cherokees are great. Up until recently I liked all flavors of jeep. My buddy just took his jeep out to play in the mud since we had an unusually rainy southern california day yesterday.
