      • Looking good. I had my cowl hood on the Chevelle for over 10 years, and never made it functional.

How does the air filter fit into that?

              Guys, guys.......fixed it for ya.

How does the old adage go? When I have the time I have no money, when I have the money I have no time?

SBG is defying both. The Force is strong with this one.

I keep going back at looking at the rear view of the driveshaft angles........how in the heck does that change and the ride height stay the same? Surely you would notice if you added some spacers to drop the center section, you don't strike me as unobservant.

                        • let me say this again... this car is loud - but got the stamp of approval from a guy who races these silly cars in my area

though, I need to change the alternator - 13.2 volts is not sufficient for HEI and EFI.

                          • Mine runs perpetually between 13.5v and 13.8v. I thought you had a 140amp alternator on there?
                            Escaped on a technicality.

nope, different car. This one was an alternator of unknown heritage and parentage.... it would flick to 13.5, but then hit the throttle and it'd drop to 13.1 ... and had a slight miss.

                              • Where are you measuring from? It should be putting out 14+ at the alternator post. If you are measuring it at a gauge in the car, you need to start looking for drops in the wiring.
