it's the lowest level Caddy. but 1940 was also the last year for LaSalle.

the LaSalle grill was used in lots of customized 36 fords over the decades

little update. I got Janet to help pull it around to the back of the shop, it's on concrete now, so I can tinker with it.

I got the 292 block bored a coupe years ago, also got the head done. It's been sitting waiting for some attention.

Grill, cooler, roof top A/C, cot, bucket, and shower bag and you could have a drag week van!

or a LeMons Rally van. Which is far more likely.

I've been casually looking for an older bread van to build into a neat ramp truck car hauler... I saw a cool one buried under scrap metal when I took Pig Rig to Alaska, if it had been closer to home, I would have stopped to make an offer.

Please please please paint it like an ice cream van and wear a white uniform with a hat and bowtie.

I have a school bus to make that car hauler thing. The bread truck is too small. It's just getting the minimum so I can drive it on adventures, nothing fancy.

I did order parts for the engine, and took the rods to the machine shop to get resized, and the pins installed (when the pistons show up). Hopefully this will all be done by the end of next week. I had the block bored and the head done a couple years ago, then put this project aside...again...

Saw Martin Brothers Customs build a 1959 International Harvester Metro milk truck on "Iron Resurrection" that came out pretty cool. Watching this thread with interest.

Oh, I knew that wasn't your style ... just an endorsement that those utility trucks can be made cool.
