I think we'll keep some light colored towels in the car so the legs don't get blistered. I think it looks really great. I had not planned on doing the seats until later, but my wife did some side work(NO, not that kind!) and she wanted to have the seats done, so she basically found the upholstery shop, negotiated the price, and got it done. How cool is that?!Comment

Sounds like your wife is a keeper! fantastic! I'm glad there are still upholstery shops that do this work for a reasonable price, the few I've gotten quotes from locally made me search for modern seats to fit in an old car - way cheaper that way.
They look fantastic! yes - white beach towels for the win!
I hope they are as comfy as they are beautiful! There's always something new to learn.Comment

He still has it. I saw it last fall when I hung out for a while. His son's truck got wrecked and it became his daily driver for a while. The new engine he bought for it turned out to be a boat anchor, block wasted, so it still is chugging along on the 394.Originally posted by mopar57 View PostSweet, I love these kind of projects. He has been a bit busy lately with work, house renovations, and caring for his brother. He did take me for a ride in one of his 68 Firebirds. That one had a 72-ish 400 4 spd. Got up and scooted nicely. I took pics of it all when I visited. It was in a blog I wrote on the trip.Originally posted by DanStokes View PostScott - Please tell the old boy we miss him and hope he'll sign back in! I want MORE of the Olds and his other projects.

Looks great! I take an old blue comforter with me to Bonneville when I take my Centurion and roll around with the top down.Escaped on a technicality.Comment

We made it back from the Anti Tour yesterday evening. Fun deal. The Cat drove nearly 500 miles with zero issues, averaging around 11 mpg. It gets about the same mileage as my motorhome Lol! We're both burnt from having the top down all the way there and back, but we're really pleased with its first road trip. Won't be the last!Comment

awesome...If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark DonohueComment
