After installing the new fuel pump, a new circuit breaker, and a belt-and-suspenders ground at the pump, it's up and running again. This time it ran long enough at 2,000 RPM to at least begin breaking in the cam and to get warm enough to need the tstat to open. I'm letting it cool right now so the rad can burp and I'll run the valves again. I'm not used to solids, so it sounds pretty thrashy to me, but all in all, pretty husky.
Dyno time is scheduled for Wednesday PM - he's only open from 6 to 9 PM, and a bit longer on Saturday. I don't know the whole story yet, but he comes highly recommended. The place is Wayne's Dyno in Jacksonville, NC. (about 25 miles). We'll see what happens.
