Cool little project. Looks like room for a sbc. ( most popular double slant 4 )

I have seen one with an LS but that would add too many laps in chump. Maybe if the car has a life after chump!

Finally had a little time for the garage.
                    Engine bay clean-up.

The garage is now official as well

That looks nice! Hope all the head work and junk turns out okay. If not, what about a 302 or a 350 SBC? When you say adds laps, is that for modern swap stuff or at their subjective discretion?

For chumpcar racing you have to prove your AIV to be $500 or less by providing 10 Craigslist adds. If you swap an engine/trans you have to take the value of the new motor minus the value of the original motor and add it to your AIV. Any modifications from stock such as springs or poly bushings are also add ons. Homemade add ons just count for material price as long as they can be made with "common" tools. Every dollar your AIV is over $500 results in you being assessed penalty laps.

Was in one of the u-pull yards looking for parts to put my rear ended jeep back together when I found this.

m20b25 motor that is 40 horses more than the one in the car
this will sit until the car runs and then be rebuilt and put in the car
                          for $90 I couldn't pass it up

90 bucks!?! Dang, there's that much in aluminum!!! What were they smoking?

I wonder if you could hack up a Dodge slant six valve cover to sit on top of the BMW cover. haha.

Is the aluminum foil to keep the govt from spying on you? We had a guy at work that swore the govt had installed a chip in his head. He jumped up one day and started screaming "THEY'RE SCANNING ME!"

Oh. Sorry, back to your build. Is that Chevy orange?

The aluminum foil is an easy way to mask things off.
No that is Massey Ferguson red. The cars eventual color. One of my team members works for a Massey dealer so the paint is the right price.
