Seriously though, How much weight goes back in and how much do you expect it to settle? Even cut down, it *looks* from the pictures like taller than stock ride height?
It still needs to go down but I am guessing it will settle a little as it had only been on the ground about 2 minutes when the picture was taken. I can take out the spring spacers and lose another half inch and can also get the torch back out if need be. Want to wait for the new wheels and tires before we go any further down or cut any more.

      • Our 325i ChumpCar looks the same ... that's what happens when you pull a bunch of weight out of a stock suspension car!!

Good progress you're making. Do you have a target date for completion, or a particular race that you're hoping to be ready for?

        cheers

          • Wanna strengthen the trunk? Kink the spare tire holder up front/rear wise.. That is if you don't wanna carry a tire..
We do that to slow the trunk collapsing in demo derby cars.. By that logic, could save the back end from a wall hit or a rear ender..

No spare tire, may put the hammer to it

                • rear brakes are in, wish the plumbing was all done

got the front wheels on but can't find one of the front caliper brackets, off to pull a part I guess, pushed it off the lift for the first time in months, the stance is getting close now

Had to get it off the lift so we could put new lower control arms on this for today's autocross since the bird is still in pieces.
