Test fit some bars. Need to remove the sunroof cartridge before they will go in the car.

Exactly! Notice the "blocks" (logs) holding the front of the cage as well.

I giggle every time I see the foil - that's awesome. I have to admit, I really like German cars. I had a 450SL Mercedes for a while that I would laugh every time I looked at the 4.5 v. the 4.6 in my Mustang. Apparently Ford liked them too. I had a German Capri for a while when I was a kid, it was worn out but I loved it. Everything seemed to have been given a helluva lot more thought than American cars. That engine hook in the front is a perfect example. You could pull a freight train straight up with the one on my Mustang. The one there is just enough to put the engine in the car it seems. Actually looks like it bent a little, but they probably didn't design it for an American / Chinese cherry picker.

Digging the progress, thanks for the update!

                        Bad Apple Racing Chumpcar

We have been kicking this around for a while trying to come up with a good name for the car. Since the co-owner and I are both school principals we wanted some type of connection with that. We have settled on "Bad Apple Racing" and the car being red is the Bad Apple!

                          Ok...I'll behave.
                          Good name considering your profession..
U gonna get the art teacher or one of the artistic students to paint that on, or get stickers made and hand them to students who actually show to watch you? I guess tht depends if you are principal for jr/sr hi?

One of my good friends owns a plotter to cut vinyl so it will probably show up that way on the car. I am principal at an alternative high school so we'll see about students at races. The project has already been used for an economics assignment and motivation to get a couple of young men to school on Monday to hear about and see progress pictures.

Fuel and cooling system plumbing are the last obstacles before it lives again.
