      Got a little work done.
This stuff is slowing everything down.

Cut pieces for the new fan mount.

      Cleaned and mounted the overflow.

Came three feet of fuel line short of attempted internal combustion last night. Maybe next week.

Been following this thread the last few weeks ... I have some friends that I run at track days with that have never raced wheel-to-wheel, who have decided that they want to give Chumpcar a go. So they have conscripted me as their "grizzled veteran" for the team, and they picked up a pretty solid 89 325i sedan to start with. Luckily one of the guys is a young and enthusiastic tech at a local BMW dealer, so he is a huge asset for the wrench pulling duties.

Who knows, maybe we will meet up on track ... I know the other guys want to do some of the east coast U.S. events as well as our more local ones.

            cheers

Let us know if you come up with any good tips. We are looking at a proposed race schedule but have yet to come up with anything concrete.

Went up to the shop tonight to button things up to make it run. Got it started but it puked fuel all over the floor. I think it is coming from the return line as I had no leaks with just the fuel pump. I was the only one there tonight and lost interest in diagnosis after cleaning up the mess.

gasoline can give you a big headache and case of Eff it all. Take the victory, it started! How's the cage install going?

The cage is on hold until it runs and is able to see a little street duty to confirm the engine work. The next step for the cage is to remove the sunroof and its cartridge from the roof. It is 75 pounds worth of metal that must go.
