I believe so, but the tran am has a motor and tran in it already but the motor need rebiult, My plans are to put the vette motor and tran into it and rebuild the 305 and that 700r4 for 53 ford...and if it doest fit well I do have a touch and a welder...........lol
Hate to burst your bubble(potentially), but that trans from the 'Vette won't be the same length as the one in the T/A(different tailshaft housings for Corvettes, F-bodies, passenger vehicles/truck/van).
Do the engine swap, leave the transmission for the T/A in it.

Dummy.
;D
Dummy, I will make that corvette one fit......it is a better trans then the one in the T\A
Everything is the same, but not sure about the yoke but I am keeping the one from the corvette. The control arm(forgot what it is called) mite be different to but thats nothing but making a new one...I will try to have some pics later this week of both cars. The 53 ford will become a gasser since there is why to much work to put it back original. With that said I have a flat head v8 and somegood chrome trim to sale...........lol
I went to look at the 53 ford again before the deal was over and there is no deal..
It is in to bad of shape, I will post some pics in a bit, this camara I used this weekend saved them all as tif files and you can't upload those to photobucket so I have to change them all to jpeg files, after I get out of the shower(been at the goodguys all day...lol)
Hell, if ol'boy doesn't cough up Shawn's money, Mike may just tell the dude tough shit and keep the damn thing....
Car was optioned out the wazoo for the year it is, but yeah....the drivetrain and trim are the only things salvageable on this heap....unless........hell, the only metal worth saving is the cowl/firewall and the roof.
