Looks like a great deal for $2500... but what do I know?

I don't even know the difference between a Beetle and a Super Beetle.
- except the curved windshield; which I just googled and saw that that was only after 72

What are the other differences between a Beetle and a Super Beetle?

Main difference is MacPherson strut front suspension, identifiable by the lower front valance and the "flatter" lower edge of the front hood.

All Supers had strut front suspension, Most supers had curved windshields, but there were some supers with a flat windshield.

The luggage compartment was vastly different too, the spare tire lays flat in front of the gas tank in a super while a standard is mounted vertically in front of the gas tank.

From the a-pillar rearwards there are no significant mechanical differences between a super and standard of the same year.

Nearly everything from the a-pillar forwards is different both mechanically and appearance-wise....if you know what to look for.

Mine is From the first part of 71, Half way through the year they went to curved windshield. This one has the flat windshield.
