  • Finished the rear floor pan section today . I used the DSE exhaust clearance floor pan pieces but modified them . Should be plenty of room for the tailpipes now . I ordered a Tanks Inc EFI tank , Walbro 255 lph pump , and sending unit from Summitt . She's getting there .

        • Parts have been arriving daily. I should have it running this summer. I have a to do list hanging on the shop wall that works well for me. It feels good to cross things off , keeps me motivated.

                    Thanks Dan !

I wonder how 08 - 14 Challenger headlights would look in a 68 Cougar ? I guess there is only one way to find out !

                    • I have seen funlove 5 3/4 led headlights for Harley Davidson motor cycles get good reviews... use those in the low beam location, and 5 3/4 spot light bulbs in the high beam location....maybe some vintage sev Marshall or Ciebe amber fog lights for the Shelby look

I don't mild that idea at all but I'm planning on replacing the stock grille and retractable lights with a custom grille by Wild Wes Paintworks . The stock configuration is really heavy and the grille is hard to keep lined up . I've purchased Challenger headlights off eBay , I really like their look . If they don't work out , I'll sell them and look for another solution . But the Wild Wes grille is the way to go .

                          • Lots more done this weekend , as I mentioned before that a "to do" list helps a lot . I find that it keeps me in order . As in , I really want to do this now but this needs to be done first or I'll just end up re-doing something . I'm sure you know what I mean .

It sure feels good after mock up , test fitting and taking parts in and out to finally bolt them in and hope you don't have to take them out any time soon . I used Eastwood trunk paint covered with satin clear and POR15 truck bed coating on the underside .
