The first Anglia gasser I saw was called "Lawman" with Al Eckstrandīs name on the door and driven by Larry Arnold.
It was way back in 1966 at Santa Pod when Eckstrand bought over a bunch of American drag cars.

Hey there.... I haven’t been on Bangshift much since I retired, but I did want to update this project thread. So the Anglia has finally been completed enough to try some shakedown runs at Famoso Raceway this past weekend. I’m really pleased how it ran, and we exposed a lot of the bugs that need tweaking. So despite battery, starter, shifter and trans brake issues it still ran 11.19 @116. So for a stock 1968 Ford 302 short block with Edelbrock heads and manifold that’s not bad.
Now I’ll fix those issues and work on the paint. I hope to get it back at the track this summer. Doing 3 foot high wheelstands is pretty dang fun! Click image for larger version
