The bondo work was great. The rocker looked perfect. Unfortunately it was at least 1/4" thick at the thinnest point where the puller was used. I'm not too worried about it. I'm just glad I found it and did not have to pay the sandblaster to remove the bondo.

Called the bank Friday to get the home equity line going for the funding of the project. I also have a lead on a media blaster that will come to my driveway to get the shell blasted. If I can make that happen, the shell should be at the body shop by Sept 14 at the latest.Chris - HRPT Long Haul 03, 04, 05, 13, 14, 15,16 & 18

Made the blasting appointment yesterday. Weather permitting, the media blaster will be in my driveway a week from right now.
I'm using these guys: http://www.glassblastermn.com/
Here is a video of the process in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCehkkTTeMk
Let me know if you have any experience with this type of blasting. Thanks.Chris - HRPT Long Haul 03, 04, 05, 13, 14, 15,16 & 18

I've only seen it on TV, LOL. I've only done "dust-filled" media blasting, that looks very interesting.
With what you have already done, it should go quick. As long as he is there, grab a few other things to hit with the blaster as well. rear axle, suspension parts, door hinges, etc.
Is it going in for a coat of primer right away then?

The blaster tells me his process will even remove the bedliner material on the inside floors. He is estimating 3-5 hours and a cost of $1,000 - $1,300. Not cheap but I dont have to spend another 3 days grinding bedliner or transporting the car across town.
I'll be loading it up to as soon as it is finished to take to my body guy for a good coat of epoxy primer that same day.Chris - HRPT Long Haul 03, 04, 05, 13, 14, 15,16 & 18

Hi Mike - Thanks for the response. It has been a good day on the car front. Car was blasted, total cost $1,000 for 5 hours of work. Well worth it and my body man agreed. Got the shell delivered. Parts order is up next. Work kind of exploded on me today even though I was working from home so I am having trouble being excited about it at all. At least I am on to the next phase and the heavy lifting will get done by someone else. I'll post up some good pictures when I get a spare minute.Chris - HRPT Long Haul 03, 04, 05, 13, 14, 15,16 & 18

After the blasting was finished, I needed to get the shell on the trailer. I removed the link between the rotisserie ends and backed the trailer under the shell. At that point I lowered the shell onto the trailer onto some timbers and wheel dollies. From there it was surprisingly easy to spin the shell 90 degrees. At this point it was strapped down and ready to go.
