    • The pics of Dad with the car are moving. As a Dad (and Grandpa and Great Grandpa) I can only imagine how it would feel to have one of the kids make this kind of effort. Good all over you and Theresa. I hope it all feels worth it now, 'cause it was.

      • Thanks guys.

We have got a fair list of things yet to do before we go.
        • Spring spacers for the front (It’s too low – we’re shooting for 1.5 inches of lift) Coming overnight from Summit
        • Replace passenger upper a-arm (pivot is making a weird clicking noise) Coming overnight from NPD (hopefully)
        • Alignment - Planning for Saturday - need to make appointment
        • Door and trunk weather strip
        • Undercoating (wheel wells)
        • Install Gauges (stock temp & amp don’t work) - Coming from Summit
        • Wire the elec choke
        • Fine tune the throttle linkage (if I have time) - Bracket coming from Summit
        • Battery hold down (or new battery – the hold down I have does not work on my battery)
        • Drive 465 more miles
        • Oil change
        • Check over everything
        • Pack
We are planning on leaving 7 days, 6 hours from now.

It will be a busy week but we are still hopefull. BTW - If you are on Facebook and want to see the videos, shoot me a friend request.

          • Are the front tires the same size as the rear ? that looks like a lot ( diameter ) of tire up front .

They are the same size. It should look much better when the front comes up and the rear comes down.

We installed lower door gaskets yesterday. It went OK but what a PITA. We attached the back edge first then the front edge then the bottom. I should have listened to Teresa on the drivers door when she said "are you sure its not twisted?" A few minutes later I said "@#X%! - I'm an idiot. Grab me a scissors." Here are the 2 pics I took of the install process. First tool I needed was a drill for the pins that locate the ends (one was in the right spot but too big and the other was not there. The finished result looks like an installed door gasket. I am removing the deck lid to install that one.

                • Can't find this thread on the first 2 pages. Very strange.

Got the new a-arm and spring spacers in yesterday. The front is up at least an inch and the ticking noise is gone. Trunk weatherstrip tonight. Alignment scheduled for tomorrow morning.

                  • weatherstrip is a huge pain in the butt. I made a mess when I installed the strips on the doors of my wagon. i should have taped it off.

lot of people got stuff done on their cars the last few days lol. wish I could say that I'll be gettign something done today, but I have the range today, would rather just get ready and focus on work today.

                    • The clicking noise has returned. We'll see if it gets better or worse after the alignment.

                              • Thanks guys. Bob - We had our suspicions. But it was still nice to hear.

Dropped off the car for alignment this morning:

I felt a little Deja Vu as I pulled in. This was from 1 year ago yesterday. Also for an alignment.
