And there's my excuse to NOT run it into oblivion on the stand. I really didn't want to waste the gas anyway.

Okay, so since you named the car Turd(le)... here it comes.

A turtle, a buzzard and a rabbit got together one day and decided to build a house to provide shelter for all the woodland animals. The turtle agreed to obtain the necessary tools while the buzzard was to get the wood and bricks. And the rabbit set out to collect the cow manure which would act as a cement. As soon as the rabbit left, the turtle and buzzard stumbled upon a pot of gold and they immediately hired a construction company to build them a huge mansion, complete with a yard, a wishing well, surrounded by a gate. When the rabbit finally returned, he was startled to see the mansion.

He approached the front gate and called out, " hey Turtle, where are you?" Upon hearing the rabbit, the English Butler approached the gate, " yaahs, may I help you sir,?" The rabbit replied, " yeah, where's Turtle?" The Butler asked, " do you mean Mr. Tur- tell?"

The rabbit said, " yeah, where's Mr. Tur- tell?"

The Butler answered, Mr. Tur- tell is down by the well."

The rabbit then asked, " then where' s the Buzzard?"

The Butler replied, " do you mean Mr. Bu-zaard?"

"Yeah, yeah", the rabbit said, tired of the way the Butler was talking, " where's Mr. Bu-zzaard?"

The Butler replied, Mr. Bu- zzaard in down in the yard"

The rabbit had had enough of this Butler and said, " listen, Butler, you tell Mr. Tur- tell, who is down by the well, and Mr. Bu-zzaard, who is down in the yard that Mr. Ra- bit is here with the shit and wants to know where to put it!"
Flying south, with a flock of bird dogs.

I seriously don't want to know how you derailed that direction

back to the task at hand - you're not inspiring confidence with your "I think I can weld good enough" comment

Okay, I'll put it like this, I'm not the kind of guy that lays down a practice bead and tells the world I can weld. I am one picky sonofabitch, if it passes my comfortable with that test it's likely good. If you really want my resume I might consider sharing some of my experiences but until then you can gander at a couple of my welding projects. A dolly to make spare engine more mobile, made three of these.

Adapter for engine stand to hold transmissions during rebuild.

Run-in engine stand. This was scrap 3x3 angle iron when I got it.

I made the welding cart from an old bed frame.

I think I can weld good enough to modify the transmission crossmember.

The homemade stands for all that look great! I'm loving the wagon build as well, always wanted one myself for a driver. I thought building a off year monte would stand out, but nothing like building a square back wagon

                        off the hook

                        on the hook

                        one tree hill?

                        on the head

probably OTOH ... on the other hand. SBG has automotive a.d.d. so his shop shows it. I saw the same thing - Clean Shop! Mine is a pig stye and I hate it when it is, but it always gets that way. I'm about to have to have shop day.

You know how it can get sometimes. You can find 37 Phillips and what you need is the 16" long Flat, but it's nowhere to be found. Next week, there's not a Phillips in site and bam, there's that flat head.

See what happens when you compliment someone? they get all up in your bidness... being all persnickety about spelling is a sign too....

Okay, now I understand your shorthand.

                                Thanks

Um, it's not really a clean shop, it's so small it has to stay organized or there is no place to work. Occasionally the HOA gets their knickers in a knot over projects & where they sit. Apparently mine are worse than others who have theirs all over the front yard. So the MC sleeps in the garage and the wagon gets the patio. If I had a place like SBG I'd spread out my workspace too. Nothing like having enough room to work.
