Had a knock happen the other day while I was trying to drive it around a bit. Turns out it was a not a rod knock but in the top end.
I will just let the pictures speak for themselves.
This kinda sucks this is the lifter that came out of it.
I can't get a pic of the cam in the car, but there is a nice trench in the lobe so it will have to be replaced. Along with the 2 lifters and the spider.
Now the dilemma.
I have the Dart 347 sitting in the back of my garage. It would take quite a bit more money that I don't really have to spend on it right now to put it in. But I think it might be alot faster and handle some spray well, until I can get all of the stuff together to put my turbo in it.
I am thinking about the Dart and the AFR 165 heads so I can get a little compression.
Decisions decisions.

One step forward two steps back. This probably stems back to a mistake I made when I built it the first time. I would love to do the 347, not sure my budget is going to allow it but I am going to budget it all out and see if I can make it happen.
Thanks Ryan, it has been a heck of a ride.
This is what it was doing saturday night.
My wife found a second chance prom here in town and we and a friend of ours that has a 4 eyed car went, he decided to take his mustang so I had to take mine at that point. My wife then got a friend to do a photo shoot. Turned out to be alot of fun.
The other car is a low 9 second turbo 347

SPRAY! Nice man congrats! I will soon be the proud owner of an 85' 4-eyed LX Notch. It is just a roller but its a $200 score that i cant pass up. It needs the strut tower cancer fixed and some other odds and ends but it should be a fun project. The plan is to build it slowly over the next 14 years for my 2 year old son. Im going to do the rust repair first and as he gets older start on the mechanical so he can learn along with me.
Or I might just fix the rust and get it to be a fun driver for me until he is old enough to learn.CHECK US OUT AT:

Thought this was a cool picture of the plate
Ryan - Fox body cars are a blast. They are light and quick in stock form, with a little help they are fast and a blast. My car is slow in the grand scheme of what is going on now a days but man it is alot of fun. I really enjoy driving it.

Bought a bigger and better mechanical fuel pump and regulator, they came in friday. I should get some time to mess with it this evening. I have to figure out where to put all of these lines and solenoids and such, find a bolt for my alternator to head bracket and then hopefully get it started up soon.
