nope, using the original tubs, and radiusing them and the quarter panel to clear the tires, then fill in the gap between the two with sheet metal, following the curve of the radius.

I have it all in my imagination, we'll see what it looks like in real life.

That seat riser is excellent. Not sure it'll pass tech but what do they know!!

All funnin' aside, I wish I had your energy - I'm exhausted from ordering parts today.

I'm exhausted, too. But I keep going. The seat riser was replaced by a shorter one. Got the rear floor set back in place, and tacked at the front, held up by 2x4s at the back. We get to make some metal parts tomorrow to tie it all together.

got the floor attached in several places. Now it's time to fill in the gaps. Car feels sort of solid again...still a little bit flexy, till we get all the pieces put in. And the levels say it's almost square.

Good thing too, I got to crawl inside to weld the new piece of trunk floor today. Didn't get a pic of that, but here's some work on the main part of the floor. It's all in and mostly welded now. I need to work on getting the rearend in tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing this finished, a friend and I built a 62 in 1970, it had a mini altered wheel base, we moved the front 4 1/2 inchesand stuffed a Henrys narrowed 58 pontiac rear and under the wheel wells. it had a glass tilt front end, american spindle mounts with Hailbrands in the rear. The motor was a brand new L88 bought from chevy and taken to Al's speed shop in phoenix. I have a real soft spot for these cars.....Thank you for bringing back memories........

Apparently Ford used the same primer on the underside as Chevrolet did back in the 60's

not real surprising. Floor and trunk...and doors got mostly done with the metal work...friend is helping with this stuff, he knows the tricks to get them back to shape.
