  • Played with the left side header quite a bit yesterday, it's about done, except for the VHT white paint. here it is before I added the collector flange, and brazed the tubes to the upper flange. I need to get some more pics...will do that today, after I get the doors and trunk and stuff primed on the inside.

Looking kick butt Jim. Honestly makes me want to build a Falcon or Dart version!

      • The wheels/tires are just rollers. I haven't come up with the final decision (or cash) for what will be on it when it's done. Bias ply....that's for sure.

Much prettier than my headers. Nice work there.

                  • I got the header painted and installed. It looks like I hoped it would.

I also did some sanding and painting, of the rest of the parts that need to be "red" inside the car. I plan on hanging the doors and the deck lid in the next day or two, although it will take some help. I get to install weatherstrip, which is always fun. And I get to finish the steering column and some other stuff on the dashboard.

                        • Out of curiosity, why moving on to doors, trunk and stuff when the passenger header still needs to be built? Waiting on parts?

I know exactly what you mean. It all has to get done and it is nice to plug some of the larger holes. The car looks incredible Jim. I look forward to all your updates.
