thanks! I painted the hood today, should be dry enough to install it tomorrow.
I also got tires in the mail. I hope they fit! the rears are supposed to be 29.5" tall, and there is 15.5" between the center of the axle and the bottom front of the wheel opening. It'll be close. Bias ply tires also tend to grow with more air pressure, and with age (!), so hopefully I won't have to do any surgery.

The current plan...bias ply all around. 6.00-15 fronts on (hopefully) 4.5 x 15 aluminum slots. L78-15 on Cragar G/T on the back for driving around, and M&H slicks on 15x7 slots for racing. Still waiting on the front wheels, a friend found a pair, they just need to get here. I'll mount the rear street tires today and see if they fit. There's 15.5" between the front of the wheelwell and the center of the axle, the tires are supposed to be 29.5" tall. That doesn't leave much room. The hood is on the car now...I need to do some work on cleaning up the headlight buckets and reinstall them, too.My fabulous web page

Got the L78s mounted, they fit just right. Car will still be slightly nose up, maybe an inch or so. I like it.
