Gonna try a 3.50 traction loc. The current 2.75 open is great if I mostly cruise ...80 mph...hope these gears help around town

Hey Mr. Hogg! How about more pics? We're a pretty visually oriented bunch around here. Also easily distracted by anything shiny, like magpies.

The gear ratio change sounds right to me - unless you only cruise the superslabs.

While the rear is out, I'm gonna drop the leaf springs 2-3 inches. It has too much rake. The MII iFS dropped the front about 5". I bought new hangers to move the springs up. Looks like a PITA to remove originals though....

It doesn't meet with my approval.

Update: finally got rear lowered several inches and 3.50 posi in. I and the 460 LOVE it! Not as much fun on the hwy, but the engine doesn't seem to mind 3k at 70 mph in the least. Too many loud rpms for all day cruising. Trying to be realistic about gears on power tour. At 2500 rpms, I'm doing about 60-62 mph and is very tolerable. You guys think 60 mph is realistically fast enough for the TOUR? The 2.75s were around 2200. Now for the blunder that gave me the biggest smile. While breaking in the new gears, and lowered rear, I began to comb over everything. I mistakenly had adjusted my Lokar gas pedal cable to only 3/4 of carb linkage travel. I literally had nearly an inch of untapped travel for these first 1800 miles since break in! You can imagine the power I picked up! I honestly was happy even before....now it is unbelievable...even in this heavy panel truck :+)

Well, used the 2.75s on THE Tour. It was a good decision; at 70 mph, i was only turning 2250 rpms. Now at home, i put the 3.50 posi back in....is much more fun around town😄
