It'll blow the budget. I don't want to win. I just want to finish. My big concerns are stopping and turning.

The 87-93 5.0L front brakes have 1" larger rotors, with bigger calipers and pads. You need the spindles (and some thin spacers between the strut and spindle) to bolt them on. Tons of those around the yards. The 4-cyl. car likely does not have a rear stab. bar, get one of those from a 5.0L car as well. While you're slotting the holes in the struts to go with the 5.0L spindles, you can do them in such a way as to get more static negative camber, and even orient the shims to give some more positive caster as well. The 90-93 Mustangs had a bit more positive caster than the earlier ones, but you want to dial in as much as possible, that, and probably 1-1/2 to 2 degrees negative camber will get the front biting much better. If you can swing it on the budget, the 87 - 88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe rear disc brakes are a bolt-on too.

Lots of brake upgrade info here:

Send me a p.m. if you need any more specific info ... I used to road-race an 87 5.0L Mustang.

            Good luck with it!!

A really good alignment shop is a must as well. One able to give you the angles needed for the competition you are doing.
