The Studebaker was saved from being crushed flat. It is still safe from that fate but as of the moment, I have not nearly enough money to embark on that project. It is going to need frame and floor work that will require someone will skills far superior to mine.

Long story short, it is safe from a grisley death and resting comfortably.

In all seriousness Brian - I'm sure you've thought of this - but - what about doing a "rusty" on it - and setting the 'baker body on a new frame / powertrain?

Now, if you're talking about changing the project one-work-day from the completion of a project; and restarting all over again - then I'd be guilty as charged. ;D

I second the motion to rusty it - I saved my stude from the crusher, so I figure anything I do to it makes it better then the import it would have been made into.....

Brian, you are way over worked, with the Stude, the truck, the wife & kids, trying to run this site....the average person couldn't keep up.

Remember, I'm here to help. I know the Javalin is taking up valueable space, so I'm still willing to take it off your hands and ease your tremendous workload. I'm only doing this because I like you and don't want to see you get to burned out on projects that nothing gets finished.

            Go ahead...lean on me

I have a strange feeling my trailer is going to go on another trip I'd like to go on --- without me!

So Brian......What were your ultimate plans for the Stude.....The plans that were floating around in your giant head, but never thought you could do. ;D

Dave and I were talking today and we were curious.

                            Seth

BTW.....We will see you early next year. ;) That spare bedroom still available? ;D

My "plan" was to turbocharge the 289 with a turbo 400 behind it and a 9-inch rear end.

The spare bedroom is now occupied. I'm thinking we need to meet half way in the middle and drink some beers at the point of transfer.

                              Caveman....where are ya?!

Meeting and drinking beer sounds like an excellent idea.

I want to be sure I don't get to far off your original plan, but I always have ideas popping into my head. What ever the final plan is I think it needs to be unique, not just some everyday build. You don't see cars like that every day, so just setting it on a Caprice chassis wouldn't be my first choice.

It may not be the fastest build, but I think it will be cool.
