    Here is the prototype of My light weight hinge design for the fiberglass hood for the D100.It makes it so you don't have to pin the rear so you can open it by youself yet it removes by just pulling foreward :thumb:

        I'd get the patent's in before I posted any more pics. Great idea, simple, yet effective.

          It is a piece of aluminum bar stock with a spring slid over it . Then it slides through the cowl into a heavy valve cover grommet.

          I don't know its pretty simple I just posted it so the other car junkies could apply it to there hotrods. its really not that trick with about 20 bucks you can make your own . I bent the bar stock in the vice by hand.
