  • Malcīs New Wheels

I got my tires mounted on the new wheels Monday, had to wait until Tuesday to get īem on the car.
My tire man treats the wheels with great care but he gives me the jitters lifting the car with jacks so I did that
and took them to him in the BMW.

I like it! I'm glad they made it across the pond.

It's tough to beat "chrome" and silver - great looking.

There's something about a five spoke wheel that just works.
There's always something new to learn.

        Re: Malcīs New Wheels

The wheels are in fact aluminum, I passed on the similar style Cragars as the chrome on my S/Sīs was rubbish.
But, never mind, thanks for the comments.

Are those, in fact, Weld Dragstars?

These go much better than the old Cragar S/S's you had previously...they just don't look right on these cars.

I'm still looking around for a good used set of Weld Draglites myself.

Yeah, they're like the proverbial Cam-..........ah, to hell with what anyone else thinks.

          I like'em, and that's what I'm going for.

Malc, what are the backspacing specs on those dragstars/ Tire sizes?

            They be Summit Star Wheels.
15x8 out back, 15x7 in front.

5 spokes seems to be the right number, goes with the lug nut count.

                  Re: Malcīs New Wheels

Very nice, and much better. Good call on jacking it up yourself. Most people aren't aware of the importance of jacking up these cars properly, or how to.

That is such a clean look. No WalMart dings in the door, either.
