      Re: Taurus SHO Wagon

Excellent, can't wait to hear what the performance numbers are out of that beastie. My SHO languishes unloved in the back parking lot of the dealership, covered in snow, while I round up parts for it.

      cheers

What's that about lipstick on a pig? At least it'll be a fast pig! I do like the idea though.

            Neat idea.

I have always thought a Taurus wagon would make a cool rwd conversion.

                  TORQUE STEER?

I'll be interested to hear what type of tires allow you to actually put the power to the ground with this thing.

Totally insane - I LOVE IT!

                        Re: Taurus SHO Wagon

                        OK, here it is.
It isnt "done" but we have been driving it for 2 weeks. This thing is going to be the poop! It is very quiet and smooth. Now I just need to tune it, and get some power out of it. I can already tell that this thing is going to be a monster, it will break the tires loose in second gear at 4,000 rpm (redline is 7200) just as it starts to make about 1lb of boost. I have not gone past that point yet because I dont want to blow it up.
I still need to get tires for the newer style SHO wheels. I am also going to put air ride on it, the front air struts out of a Lincoln Continental bolt right up ;D.

Man, this is cool! Engine nearly looks stock in there and from the outside you'd never know what it's got in it. Very sleeper-ish. I love it! Good job.

Schhweet!! That blower tucks in there very nicely. Good to hear that you have it up and running.

That sir is the definition of sick, and you should be commited! Wow, when you get that thing tuned it will be the definition of a sleeper on the streets and at the drags. Start betting the wing'd cars money ;D
