cowl hood, modern wheels, tires, big block ,gn rear ,etc....drive it for few years in current paint form then redo the paint with a nice two-tone color combo .hope people will dig the retro vibe for a few years.weather they laugh at it or not at least people will be talking about it ..... ;D

Sounds like a plan. It sure does represent the era. I'd rechrome the bumpers, bits, and grille, leave the paint for a while. Maybe lose the mudflaps, unless you do a lot of dirt road driving.

yep mudflap will go bye bye.will be going to the better looking 81 grille in chrome with headlight bezels, most likely will be adding harwood bumpers . the lighter the better body wise for me .

I've always liked those cars - especially since they seem to be the last ignored rear wheel drive GM cars... light car, light bumpers (aluminum), BBC capable.
I might change tape off the top of the car, shoot the bottom with a bronze or sand color and just drive it like that... call it Foose meets 1991.
                    Nice score

Yup, mudflaps have got to go ASAP.

First thing it needs is a period-correct CD to crank up at cruise nights:
